Here’s some information to help facilitate a smooth, fun competitor experience:

 

Competitor FAQ

Professional Category-Dancing for pay(includes teaching) 5 years or more

​

Semi Professional-Dancing for pay for 3 years or more or non paid non teaching 5 years

​

Rising Star-Dancing for pay less than 3 years

​

Troupe- All skill levels welcome

*** Please be aware that the East Coast Classic is geared toward the artist looking for the opportunity to be be coached and receive feedback from respected instructors and mentors. We expect a supportive nurturing environment both backstage and in the audience. Thank You for choosing us to assist you in reaching your goals!

FRIDAY COMPETITORS (Cab/Tribal - Professional &  Semi-Professional Categories)

6:30-8:30pm Friday - music time limit 4 minutes or less

​

Friday Competitors need to be backstage by 6pm

 

SUNDAY COMPETITORS

(Rising Star)

2-4pm Sunday-  music time limit 4 minutes or less

​

Sunday Competitors need to be backstage by 1:30pm on Sunday

 

(Troupes)*

2-4pm Sunday- music time limit 6 minutes or less.

Sunday Competitors need to be backstage by 1:30pm on Sunday

 

*Please make sure you have paid for all of the people in your troupe (if one of your troupe members became injured, had to drop out last minute etc., we will make exceptions if notified in advance). If you have over the paid number of registrations for your troupe you will not receive your judging criteria and you will not be considered for the competition. MUSIC:

Please bring your music on USB memory stick (flash drive) & CD (as backup). 

Music is to be sent to competition coordinator ecbd.competition@gmail.com by January 12th.

 

STAGE:  The stage is 24 feet long by 18 feet wide and elevated.  There are two wings with stairs for either a right or a left entrance.

 

VIDEO: The ECC is proud to welcome back Candlelight Productions. The form to pre-order video is on our website now and we will also have forms available the day of the competition.
